The General Toyota CANSF code for transmission temperature that starts with a TXD of 07E021D9 should work for 2005+ Tundras. Your ScanGauge will need to have a firmware version of at least 4.0 for the code to work though.

Hello,

I’m sure you’re bothered about this all the time but I am wondering if you have been able to get the transmission temperature working for 2005+ Tundra trucks? Or have you been sent any by people claiming that they got it working? Or has anyone got it working??

There’s very little that needs to be setup the ScanGauge prior to use. We recommend the user input their engine size, gas tank size, and fuel type as the initial setup. After that if the user is interested in accessing more information beyond what comes standard with the ScanGauge from their vehicle such as transmission temp or with regard to the Prius, the State of Charge of the battery, they simply need to enter the XGauge codes we list on our website that correspond to their vehicle. There’s no subscription fee, and typically as we come up with new XGauges people can use them without needing to pay for the XGauge to work.

Learned of your product via PriusChat. I have a 2002 Prius and saw one thread in which the ScanGuage seemed to need to have every piece of data entered in by the purchaser before use. Unfortunately, still did not work on that 2001 Prius. What is required prior to use? Also, does it require some type of subscription in order to interpret the information, use data gathered or for any type of functionality?
